Lest any think there's something wierd
about the fact I've dissappeared
I've simply found another sphere
which leaves me scant time to be here

There too, I started as a hack
but flogged ahead not looking back
'til now my friends and just to say
that each of you in your own way

are still part of the current sum
( if you know where I'm comin' from )
In vitual reality
I've wedded golf and poetry

to find that I am doubly cursed
I don't know which addiction's worse!

This is an awesome poem. I know the feeling. I go from place to place but I always find my way back here. I truly enjoyed the read!!!

Well, life is a giant fairway.
It does a soul good to be free to explore.

Doc's Angel,
Thanks for the r&r, time being what it is, now I'm even multi-tasking my addictions, lol.
Doc

Alison,
Lol, I still pop in from time to time, I see the workshop is right about where we left it, I read a few posts, but this golf addiction is something else, lol.
Doc

JL,
Thank you m'friend, ain't sayin' I won't be back, just combining my interests. Maybe if Ron put in a nine hole course just to start with I'd stick around, lol.

Has 'Deer seen this one yet, Doc? If he has, he hasn't said; but if he hasn't, then you must be wedded to the gift of golf like he is not, because he still wields, no matter the shot!

Sunshine,
Lol, in the real world I'd be more like "sub-hack", but, turns out in the virtual world I'm not half bad, recently turned "Master" with a 68.1 average, and while I'm on I still get to annoy people with my poetry, lol.

Yep, you are missed, doc. Since you were half of the workshop class, it had to close up shop. but nobody knows more about the addictions of golf than me. Seems like you are referring to "virtual" golf. I had to stop that one...kept getting mad and throwing my monitor against the wall....got way too expensive.

See you on the links!

Giggles, enjoyed your poetic explanation and glad to see you back for a bit (of what?).

I hate to disillusion you, doctor of moose, but you don't annoy anyone, least of all Balladeer!  We all love to see you around.

Nan,
Thanks m'dear, as always.
Doc

Balladeer,
Lol, somehow I can picture you doing just that. I'm practicing "virtual" patience something of which in real life I have "virtually" none of, lol. Be well m'friend.

Owl,
Thanks , that's very kind of you to say, however, my illusions remain firmly rooted in reality (if that's possible, lol.)
be well.

luminosity,
Thanks, lol, yeah I did that years ago, watched in disbelief as NAFTA and GATT were enacted by our clueless leaders, or should I say our bought and paid for leaders who still continue to take  from the  big corps
and stick it to the small companies while they all tell us they are the ones that will effect change. PATHETIC!
Oh well,FORE !!!

James Michael,
Thank you. I've always known I've never been one to do anything "halfway", but the marriage of poetry and golf should probably have me seeking treatment, lol.

Balladeer,
Thanks for the link, and the laugh.
Doc

Tracey,
Lol, thanks, yeah pretty much. I guess you could say I'm currently using poetry as a tool to effect social change, and golfing, lol.

LOL... Between you and Balladeer, I'm going to have to think about taking up golf, just for the poetic inspiration! LOL

Just remember, Doc... when you're golfing, you're having fun (or there's that hope, anyway! LOL)... when you're writing, WE get to have the fun... so give us a turn here and there! *S*

Balladeer,
M'friend, my name happens to be "Bill" , now how funny is that, lol.
Doc
Suthern,
Dang woman, you got a point. It's either that, or you all take up virtual golf, lol.
