you said you were always more shy in public
I guess I was public, once you asked me to be
and then you measured the size of my affection
as if the infection of it was partly treatable
with some soft shoe ballet in blue blush tones

I didn't mind coming in out of the closet rain
and helping you drip on my new hard wood floors
they would have buckled eventually from boredom
so what if the inspectors would be making notes
and grinning at each others secretive spitting

we still danced those glass halls some mornings
when the rush hour traffic had slowed down
to watch what we did with lust and love sounds
getting them all glued together like book edges
that we stacked up so neatly like a garden wall

where you could climb brazen and dream hem less
________

Super Girl - lol... even sheros need other identities every now and then.  (or maybe that's the voices, I dunno)

"when the rush hour traffic had slowed down

Excellent poetry, I am never dissapoinetd when I read a Darrk poem.
