Andre reached deeply
inside my heart,
with his silken touch,
and chiffon word's
penned upon my soul,
as my lip's quivered
and my body trembled,
with his seductive whisper
beneath the lantern
of a tangerine moon.

He extended his hand,
and the seed
of love blossomed,
a honeysuckle afternoon,
lost in the fragrance
of rapture.

Each step, a step closer to
being carried by the wind
to a far away place,
an oceanic island
where the juice of papaya
quenches our thirst,
and the grasping limbs of love
fills the need for hunger.

Suddenly, a night
without moonlight---

"Adieu, mon cherie"

Andre's whisper disappeared
into the silence of no return,
The delectible taste of
love's sweet dessert
now foreign to my tongue.

The memory of elated bliss,
and moonlight tangerine
lost upon the naked shores,
as wilted rose's crumble
below the shattered vase of night.
