One hour, so many memories One night, changes everything forever For one person to affect another in such ways Ways beyond any that can be described in detail Before seeing you, it hit, a break down The realization of seeing you that night How nervous, yet excited, scared, yet happy To many emoitions, unable to fight Speechless which overcame in an instant At the sight of your car, your body, your face The walk down the stairs felt uneasy As if uncertain in a whole new place Then to be held by noone other than you Finally feeling safe once again As tears escaped, unsucessful to hold in Trying to breathe, yet again you win Sitting beside you as if it was the very first time Leaning into you knowing everything is fine Looking into your eyes, and how they were so much missed Being severly afraid of that first kiss Holding your hand and never wanting to let go The tattoo on your hand, or always saying no To be able to see you and finally touch your face That one moment, finally in the perfect place Laying with you while cold and bare How everything felt, being touched there To hold onto something, with every intense breath To keep on going until theres nothing left Hearing the words that you had to go The only word in mind was saying no Watching you pack, getting ready to leave As the pain hit, like a severe disease Walking forward heading for the door Wanting, hoping, wishing one day for more The chill of the wind, making it so cold The touch of your warmth, never gets old To be embraced and kissed, one final time As you get into your car, hating the goodbyes One hour, that brought you here One night, without any fears One hour, and those are the memories One night, together hard to believe One hour, that everything felt so right One night, to realize that this is worth the fight One hour, fulfilled with nothing but the truth One night, that will make all nights end with the words I love you Kate |
