long ago i said, i vowed
to be your friend till the end,
but i broke that vow
since then ive wandered all around
in search of your sweet eyes
those tender smiles
but most of all those pleasant whiles.

since then...

ive seen the sunset
ive seen the sunrise
the stars at night
and felt so cold
because im
alone.

since then ive
sighed so many times
cried in lonelyness
ive even died inside.

i remember...

those pleasant whiles filled with smiles
that took the form of many glorious miles.

the mornings
that morning
when we looked at each other eye to eye.
dawn's rays that
so softly shone
over me over you
over us.

then...

it all changed
i felt a flutter in my chest
and thought the world had changed for the best
but somewhere along the line
we lost ourselves
i lost you.

for days on end franticaly i searched for you in vain
found that you held me in distain
i sought refuge in others hearts
but could not bring myself to feel at home
i sought my friends
yet still felt still feel all alone.

i know ive broken my vow to myself
to always be a friend to you
and failed to be your friend.

my quistion here however is

will you forgive my faults restore our friendship

for you see life is agony without you.

(different than 2 i know but t connects in a way to start 2)

You are not the first to have broken a relationships promise. The ache in your heart is real. I have the same ache these days.

At a cocktail party, one woman said to another,
'Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?'
'Yes, I am. I married the wrong man.'
