Just a lonely stoner with her head in the clouds, Avoids people's eyes, rarely makes a sound. Hides her head in the smoke so she can drift away, Leaves behind all the pain she feels each day. She doesn't talk to the others, doesn't need any friends, After all, everyone leaves in the end. At the back of the class with her feet on a chair, She hears them talk but who cares if they stare. She lets out her thoughts with a book and a pen, Lost in her own world, she can only pretend. She stays up through the night, looking for more, Strums her guitar until her fingers are sore. Floats away to the skies as she smokes a bowl, Remembers the time when she once felt whole. She waits for the day when she can just let go, Believes love is something she'll never know. She forgets the world and the emptiness within, Because it's far too late to forgive her sins. |

I agree with Jerry here: it is never too late to begin anew and to forgive oneself. This is a good write, yet very sad. To be on one's own is ok if it doesn't transform us into anti-social beings. We need to reach out. You have your guitar, which will have a healing effect and may you add the hope for new love. Margherita |
