When the grace of your gaze
opened my heart gates
and travelled my veins,
my skin blushed wildly
and every single pore
released particles of radiance
in a great variety of hues.

Joy started its ecstatic dance
within the very essence of me.
My soul sprouted wings
and my body glided in lightness
upon warm air currents
to heights unknown.

The crowd surrounding us
receded into the unconscious,
the world condensed
within your iris
and mirrored in mine.
We flooded each other
with magnetic waves
of primordial power.

Lips proffered sounds
that were not heard but read
like a musical score
to be performed instantly
as pure heart tunes.

Soft echoes still resonate
somewhere out there
where love strings gather
to be captured
by our longing.

I can still tune in
to replay that magical
unique moment in time
which left indelible traces
upon our souls
along their wanderings
across eternity.

Whoa!!! WoW! And a few more excited words to follow. What a magnificent and perfect poem paying tribute to that all-encompassing phenomenon of human ecstasy and complete devotion to the feelings, sounds and ancient pleasures passed down throughout the centuries, that of what passes through we humans when we feel very connected to another of the same species. Well done!!!
