Being a ten year old was neither
a bad time or a good time
It was a time I started to try
and find myself

I found out at that time
that sometimes your friends
turned out to be your
worst enemies

That is also when I started
getting picked on for
being ESE
I tried not to let it get to me
but at that age it was hard

I broke my leg at school
at that age
Racing a friend on the
playground
The principal had to carry
me up front on her back
Picture a grown woman
carrying a ten year old
on her back

I played tadpole softball
that year
It was the best time
I ever had
Wish I could play again
but I can't due to my health

That was the year we
got snow in Florida
Went outside
Broken leg and all
Had a snowball fight
with my brother
and sister

At the age of ten
I had the worst of times
and the best of times
But what I wouldn't give
to be that age again

Yep, what I wouldn't give too.
I enjoyed the reminisce and the ups and downs, we all had them.

This was a beautiful poem. Full of nostalgia. I don't share a wish to go back to any age in my life, but certainly felt your desire to. Enjoyable read.
