Summer Solstice

Cumulus clouds drift lazily
across the western prairie skies
A gentle breeze barely moving
the provincial and country flags

The suns' tender touch warms and sooths
while healing land of winters scars
Spring rains refresh bringing to life
dormant foliage and trees alike

Sounds of springs’ rebirth fill the air
with calls of young for mothers touch
Myriads of flowers gives a show
displaying rainbows of colors

Love blossoms the way nature blooms
making hearts and soul seek someone
Springs’ air becomes an elixir
inhaled by those who have a dream

Twilight has come later each day
giving more time for loves romance
Moon and star - fields seem brighter still
as time moves to Summer Solstice

Great, Karen, how you merge the environment into each other as you move from clouds to sun to flowers and keep the dalliance with nature until you finish it off with the Summer Solstice. Refreshing . . .

Lovely.  I think we are at 22+ hours of daylight.  It is sunny and hot.

This is lovely, and reminds me of when I lived in Oregon and the summers were not quite so...hrm...sub tropical.     Beautiful
