Hermeneutics and the Preacher

Therefore, it was with the Greeks
Looking for depth in truth
Naming Hermes to combine interpretation of all their deity
for their future to them, seemed empty, bleak.

All their deity, all their deity, yet not tangible.
Interpretation, philosophy, translating, and art,
none would satisfy; all somewhat tantalizing, affable
yet no one to examine with analysis undeniable

From that, born to life the Preacher –
Dispelling doubt, embedding in all ears, faith;
Listen!  Hear the Word of the LORD, for in hearing
Is that faith growing, and building, uplifting, endearing.

He shouts to “Call upon the LORD!”
Then he preaches his hermeneutics, the way he too
was taught and learned the interpretation of the classics.

A true man of God, blessing and proving.
His heart burdened for all to be saved –
Hermeneutics for the lesions in heart moving
words sweet to the ears of those who would listen,
and hold interpretation explained, and understand
the author’s writings in the Bible, to be sustained.

Hermeneutics and the Preacher are one in the same,
synonymous to a discovered divinity deep within a heart.
A starting with no end, a living with no death, a truth –
With which that Preacher, wants all to partake…

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Maranatha!

Hi JL.  A delicate subject well expressed.  I find it all pretty confusing but have been most impressed with the interpretations given by a Professor Walter Veith - been somewhat life changing for me.
