Genesis

Tick tick tick

I stare at the clock

It is almost time

He startled me

What is this feeling

Am I scared or just mad

The smoke filled the air

He puffed on his cigar

The car pulled up

And I heard a fainted horn

He rose to me and took my hand

As I sat down in the backseat he shut the door

He will not go with me

This car could go anywhere

It would not matter at all

I am one person

I am far from small

I may be a child

But I am more grown

My new life is here now

I step out

Walking up the brick way

I turn around

He is here

How could that be

He came after all

He came for me

I walk in the clouds, I sing in the dust
