There is beauty in the air---music!
The discourse of birds discussing the weather
In song, and extolling the glory of the sun.

I am privileged to be near them in the shade
Of the silver leaf tree of summer, listening---
Paradise in a backyard garden!

This was written from memory of a time long ago. There was a fig tree, a lush silver leaf tree, and two pomegranate trees along the north fence line. Hummingbirds were often there around the pomegranate trees. I was a boy then; what a magical time!

Yo Art,

The Hummingbirds, fig, and pomegranate trees puts me in mind of my old aunts lawn in Georgia many years ago.

I like this poem a lot.
