She watched me as the world does
With the hawks at her feet
The lovely sight of her Blossom toes
Riding along as the sunset does
And I said hello.

I looked at her like the
Night does as we sleep,
And we exchanged smiles with her narrow shoulders
Broadening for a slight path into her,
Into the world of hers

Where it’s a bit colder,
A bit lonelier, but it’s us,
On the stage of each other’s mouths
On the lips of our dreams

She watched me from afar,
From the easy path, the easy cars riding high,
Riding towards me, watching me
And I said hello.
