Mauve as a tear,
being Jealous of the proud light,
The hopeful lilac
Court the pink gardens
Welcome the golden bees,
Consoles with the red winter
In the breeze which it perfumes
As a painter of time.
I cannot avoid it, at the crack of dawn
Its flowers speak to me about you.

Wonderful, a good read. I do like the colorful imagery and the somewhat mixed metaphors - very adroitly done.

That crack of dawn stuff bespeaks a dooryard, perhaps?

yann,

I love the picture that you have painted - with the splashes of color accentuating the lilac.  Lilacs are among my favorite flowers.

Thank you.

Hello Alison, lilacs are everywhere and they smell so good, I like to seize a branch and put it on my nose while lilacs are blooming, we have to enjoy theses moments and perfumes....Thanks for the kind comment,

Thanks BS I am honored by your comment, this poem won a distinction on a french poetry site and I was proud of it, it was illustrated with a painting of lilacs which was delicious and wonderful, I appreciated it a lot.

have a nice day
