When I First

It was in the eye
of a blind storm
when I first saw you,
looking off
into the maw of mirage.

Your rouge lipped
gaze
aglitter,
with unclaimed
moistness
and elicit.

A clamorous silence,
this stillness
of wandering,
in wounded fates
of pause,
and persistence
as if the whole sky
had lost its
breath
over your bloom
and winsomeness,
your crown
of favor
your asset,
of delicacy
your acumen
of blush
and comeliness.

It was behind silent
walls
of yearn and distance
that you first, came
for me.

Our secret washing over us,
a launder
of quiver and tremble,
a bend, a lapping,
the partaking
of grab and
liquor.

Your guard and curtains,
a fate unfolding.

This valance
of veil,
the stage
of perfumed dampness
lush in its bestowal,
endowed
in its receiving.

Let your thirst
for meaning
bow
and kneel,
as your tongue laid out,
accepts and
receives,
my host of liquescence
molten,
as it falls over you
and the brim
of your starving smile,
blocking the horizon
in cascades warm,
of cherish and credence,
this purge,
a surge,
a baptismal
of faith and
dependence,
a liquid scarf of gloss
and seam enamored
purity
tied about the nape,
of your nippled
allure.

You are the unwritten
prayer
of my gist
and deliverance,
the sire sun
and the holy coast,
of briny waters,
a quaff
of suckle,
the moan impaled
the honeyed wine,
in your wholly
grail.

Let me lay
with your love
and loyalty,
your drool
and drenching,
my sacramental
succulence,
the promised
grace,
a wish to come,
your gorgeous face,
blend of essence
the forbidden
chaste,
whispered mouthful,
of your silk sodden
lace.

A beautiful love poem that reminds me of some of the mystic Indian poets. Is it about human or divine love? Phrases like "wandering in wounded fates," "perfumed dampness," and "liquid scarf of gloss" are very evocative. Bravo!

Dear Bastet, it’s about human love. The kind I will probably never find, but still. Thank you so much for your kindness, so nice to meet you.

Thanks Lost Poet, nice meeting you as well!

Vandana, always nice to hear from you.

Bluesy, thank you so much. And yes, me too.

Hugs All!
