(Here's a poem I wrote five years ago that I believe has become a definitive work of mine and my personal favorite poem I've written to date because of how universally positive it is, and has only grown more special to me with all the transformations I've gone through this year, and telling everyone here that if you summon the will and embrace opportunity, you can achieve anything you set your mind and spirit to!

I'm presently working on a conceptual Conscious Dance poetry performance inspired by Freddy Zental Weaver, and this will be included in the concept with slight modifications! I am also going to officially begin my foray into modeling at the start of next month, where I aspire to reflect aspects of my poetry through as well! )

Summoning The Will
By: Noah Eaton
10/16/04

Up, up the long, delirious burning blue,
feathers of heaven raise us like the birds,
posterity laughs at us,
but providence trains us to stare upward,
it's not the flowing red cape,
nor the cardboard grocery carton pirate ships,
that instruct us in learning to fly,
it's the ability to retain that innocence...

"So many of our dreams first seem impossible,
then they seem improbable.",
but when we take the time,
summoning the will,
swimming out to the ocean,
"they soon become inevitable"

And now, forward!
And now, forward!

It's the thousand years of experience,
dreaming of angels that send us on our way,
It's the tree you gaze upon,
once you see its shadow from the sky,
It's the hand you're dealt you play,
that makes this whole game worthwhile.
It's the activist irregular verb of love,
that generates the velocity in our blood...

"So many of our dreams first seem impossible,
then they seem improbable.",
but when we take the time,
summoning the will,
swimming out to the ocean,
"they soon become inevitable"

Flying a kite,
is the beginning of an odyssey to touch divinity,
there you have been,
and there you will always long to return,
it is not the X-ray vision,
that helps us see beyond our limitations,
your soul's found a place in the sky,
in your lungs you feel the wind,
you're tasting flight...

"So many of our dreams first seem impossible,
then they seem improbable.",
but when we take the time,
summoning the will,
swimming out to the ocean,
"they soon become inevitable"

"Flying a kite,
is the beginning of an odyssey to touch divinity,
there you have been,
and there you will always long to return"

Thirty plus years ago, I made two colorful kites and flew them in the Rockaway Beach annual kite contest. That day, I vowed to return to this part of the coast to stay.

Rockaway is 5 miles north of Garibaldi, where I am now living.

Keep flying high with your dreams, Noah.

Wow, Kacy, that is a very compelling story, and I'm soooooooooo glad you shared that with me!

I've been to both Rockaway Beach and Garibaldi. Don't you find that ever so cute that the Visitor & Information Center there is a "Little Red Caboose"? Though they don't run trains I don't believe this time of year along the coastal community, from the spring to the early autumn they certainly do, and it's an experience you simply can't afford to miss!

I really need to get out to the coast again, by the way. I've only been over there once this year around Lincoln City with my family, and it would be great to get out there where the sky meets the ocean!

You too, my friend, keep embracing your dreams!

XOXO,
Lisping Hibiscus

Noah, my friend... I should hire you as my personal motivator... you continue to amaze me. *G* But... since finances are tight, I'll cheat and just post your words where I can read them daily. LOL

Yay, thanks Suthern!

(huggies) Awwwwwwwwwwwwww, I'm not stingy, my friend! Tell you what, the first session is on the house, and I'll give you 75% off all subsequent ones! Everyone deserves a break during these economic woes!

Bless you, my friend, yay!

XOXO,
