Lustrous Overtones

Velvet night speaks its rudimentary language to the stars
Soul to soul discussions mirrored in the lake below
Words of passion send shiver across a vast horizon
Intentions twinkle,
Emoting in the heaved bosom of twin mountains cloaked in black
Sighs of patient understanding, a shy pulsing purple
Where Northern lights cast luminary consequence
Of jade colored veils and mauve petticoats
Undulating a silence more potent in its echo
These ghostly winds bewitch
Far from here, my heart has heard you
Scent of sweet grass and clover summons vision
Moving along symmetrical circles, to study each breath
Moonlit outlines of long, slow trails in midnight quiet
A picture as vivid to me as my own skin
Drinking in time to calm the urgency of sooner things
Velvet night speaks it rudimentary language to the stars
Where I have placed my wishes and my prayers
Amongst the other bright and heavenly bodies there

Absolutely awesome imagery, dear Kathleen.

And I think your prayers and wishes are placed beautifully up there ...

You have painted some wonderful images with your words which made reading this a pleasure.

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
