Balladeer and Toerag were hunting in the swamp,
All the sudden Toerag, heard a mighty chomp,
He turned to look, but was too late,
'Deer was gone, was gator bait,
A mighty 'gator in Deer's place,
Staring Toerag in the face,
That 'gator opened jaws real wide,
Toe saw Deer, way down inside,
Toe yelled to Deer, I've got to go,
But I'll send help, and off ran Toe,
As Toerag ran, he heard loud splashing,
Behind him in the water thrashing,
When all the sudden, 'Deer flew by,
Toe did not know that 'Deer could fly,
Then Toerag heard an awful sound,
As Balladeer hit on the ground,
That 'gator bellowed out in pain,
I'll never eat ol' 'Deer again,
Because that gol' durned exterminator,
Gave awful indigestion to this here 'gator.
'Deer stood up and said let's go,
And so went home, Balladeer and Toe.

This about the funniest Toe-'Deer poem that I have read.  It needs to stay at the top ... and may everyone smile.

All I have to say that was one smart gator.

I should have known that Toerag wouldn't help out a friend in need....just took off and left me there like the coward he is. What a crock!

Thanks, Tim, for chronicling how spineless he really is. It wasn't the gator's fault. Not many people can stomach me most of the time!

Bally, I figured that poor gator got himself into that mess and he could get himself out of it....Well done Tim....(besides, everyone knows that gators eat healthy, they don't like a high fat content food).
