Kabacartareesh-a!

ScareeshhhhttTA!
That’s what Zachary said today.
Got my attention – but the hand
he held up had all five fingers, vertical –
talk about relief -
because the tone of voice,
the seriousness of those squenched eyebrows –
I knew I was in serious trouble.
I mean, he’s only four months
but I knew my number was up.

ScareeshhhhttTA!
In a couple of years
I’m going to ask him what he meant,
and if he remembers,
he may be standing at the intersection
of those two walls in the hallway –
for a loooong time!

Kabacartareesh-a! That’s the one
Momma asked me about.

And learning early,
I lied!

Wonderful!!

I am sure those sounds do have great meaning!

Ask him early, because he might forget ...

Enjoyed this one greatly!
My grandson is five months old (tomorrow) and I so love to see him and hear him talk on my monitor! Will go visit him soon.

Love,
Margherita

If he grows up to be a poet it's not going to be easy to find a word that rhymes with his word.
