Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

Bonfires spark embers in the night
Waves wash kelp along a sandy shore
Laughter weaves among conversations
Sun sinks beyond volcanic peaks

Waves wash kelp along a sandy shore
Lovers cuddle out of fire’s light
Sun sinks beyond volcanic peaks
Children chase seagulls to water’s edge

Lovers cuddle out of fire’s light
Sharing moments of intimacy
Children chase seagulls to water’s edge
Shrieking with joy of utter freedom

Sharing moments of intimacy
Darkness washes colored sunset pale
Shrieking with joy of utter freedom
Eagles dance above in thermals warmth

Darkness washes colored sunsets pale
Wishes cast upon stars peering down
Eagles dance above in thermals warmth
Settling gently under peace of night

Wishes cast upon stars peering down
Parents snuggle sleeping children close
Settling gently under peace of night
Moon tugging steadily at the tides

How utterly beautiful, dear Alison!!

It is joyful and peaceful and I must say the repetition in this form brings a very lovely tune ...

You are so good, I can feel that you enjoy doing these special forms.

Love and hugs.

Alison,

You have done a very good job on this very difficult form.

Good work.

Now, You Listen Here! Clap, Clap, Clap..

Darling Margherita,

I am enjoying trying out different forms.  It is a pleasure to play with them.  I really need to work on meter and such - but it all seems like such a math problem and when I read all the slashes and stuff, I feel like I am trying to learn a foreign language.  One day, I'll knuckle down and work on all of that.

Thank you for reading and writing such warm and loving responses.

xoxoxo
love,
Alison

John,

Thank you lots and lots.  You make me laugh.

Alison

PS - I don't think that SHDP will mind if you use "serious applause" - and I would rather that you don't spread the "Clap. Clap. Clap." thing. Just a thought.

LT

I look forward to the day that you do write a Pantoum.  It's a lot of fun.  It's kind of like knitting (knit one, perl two kinda thing).

This is an interesting form of poetry. I never tried this. You did a fine job with it.

Alison, I am enjoying you trying your hand at a variety of poetic forms. Once in a while, I do the same.
You are doing a very fine job of doing so. At times, when one focuses on form, something can be lost in the poetic value of the poem. However, m'dear, that is definitely not the case with your writing! ~ Content and form, are perfect!

Love & Poetic Light,

Linda
