compelling this elevated language
of real life

of loosing you

             of love
oh…
heart of darkness

where for
probability contends

an imaginative ascend
and assimilated genre
hybrid adaption
engaging prose
walks to the other end

to distract
a double indemnity
name dropping
sensibility
and free will
both
intimate
as a baptismal bowl

generations flow
through birth & death
admittedly
a roguish millenium
echoing bredth
our
moon colonies
willing to risk
Calgary
gave granite rock
to the soul
belonging to the places we walk
& dance and make love

as children who believe

oh mysterious macabre
that thrills rugged trails
leaving the booth empty
so fires could burn
while
spirits fall into dreams
oblivious

and I
was
trained
to the depths of
conscienceness
a slave
to your wants
your desires
your spirit
that wander
persuades

damnation
misery
vagueness
and ill defined
rantings of naked
swims....
tearing up the ground
pouring salt on wounds

will tomorrow
knock on my door
like a
child of sunrise
with
Sunday Morning arms
clothed
in their best harness

your
hymn books
propped on my window
while waterfalls prey
by association
strutting a mascarade
and
we grab our Monday hats
just north of a
"tour de will"
where light cries
closing a day in darkness
without you...

flashbacks of
silk-weaving
extra lightness
in the soul
inducing guilt
granting insanity
who would enter
this awakening
with hungry beginnings
and eyes watching God

in a precise mental
condition
skipping over
dismembered rose blossoms
smelling like some
vegetable garden
where fresh and
dewy trails grew up
making sad reminders
into small lakes of summer
where vacations and weekends
brew Starbucks coffee

ahhhh aroma
can you see it?
and I
the ghost town
at the fuel pump
changing prices on the sign
thinking of the time
we were kids
buying ice cream
for a dime

motion detectors
circling
bright orange
fingers
wearing
ears
in hopes
that removing my coat
would bring
almond firewood
to a checkboard green

save my heart
save the rains
save long hikes
in blue skies
where flashes
of light believe
the buzz of need
where you and I
were grabbed
by the breast of moon
and held captive
for awhile...
oh, the insanity
you sarcastic fool

dim wet mornings
put on their boots
I need physical pain
to keep from remembering
oh please, sir
pierce my madness
with a gentle kick
brushing snow away
wrapping me in
the
scent of your cloths
every bone
in my body
wants you

I will stay the night
love you
like chicken soup
Extremely
warm
and utterly hearty
