Another job interview on Friday
and if this doesn't pan out
there will be certain other things
I will need to think about.

Already considering Atlanta,
still looking at Jacksonville,
anything better than my hometown,
I was not born to the mill.

Not meant to die or struggle by,
too young to feel this old,
I don't know which direction I'll head
but change is there and will be bold.

Too many things I want from life
to sit back and take answers "no"
definitely not a hometown girl
like everyone's told me so.

There will be a light, I know,
to show me soon which way to go.

Where there is a desire, there is a destination, and I wish you a short journey to yours Dixie.

Dixie - some would say that it is "change" that keeps us young.  Hope the next one is the best one.

Darlin' Dixie, moss isn't likely to grow under your feet! Change has been your constant companion for some time. I do believe that you have been learning as you have been growing.

Everything will turn out as it is meant to be. Trust in your own abilities and with what the Universe has in store for you. All has not been for naught.

Wishing you the very best in every aspect of your life.

Linda

I understand this very well... I like going to Daddy's farm, but there's nothing for me in my hometown... and no jobs, even if it called to me.

Wishing you the best of luck... excellent write!

I recently moved to Delaware to be closer to my military base in north Maryland, so this put me closer to the place I was born in NJ...this past weekend my wife and I went for a visit to my birthplace and I will agree with you...I could not see myself in that place today, and am trying to convince myself I was born in a different place alltogether.....

aw....thanks friends

all of you

but Keith...hon, don't forget where you came from....it will always live within you...but that doesn't mean you can't live more and bigger...I imagine I'll retire here after I've made my millions and so might you after you have been satisfied with your life

Nice write, good luck on your journey.  Just remember that happiness is not at the end of the road.  It is found in small moments all along the way.

Gosh- oft you tell me you can relate to my words.  Well, kiddo, I can relate to your words with this one more than you will ever know.

Wonderful write.

Dixie, you are so young. You can can move on to better things. I was fifty eight when I moved to Florida. Not too happily, but did it to please my husband.  And here I am,  still working at the first job I hit upon. It has been good to me and it was the place I had to be at the time. Three of six children have moved here. So one never knows. go for it. You Are Loved.....

Hi Dixie, great write my friend.

Not meant to die or struggle by,
too young to feel this old,

Find where you belong Dixie, we all search the same, but often forget to move on.

Take care and goodluck.
