In Silent Night

The moon
came and went,
the sky
arced to the ground,
then the rain
fell.
Or was it just the light
dying in my eyes,
my heart wrenching apart,
tears,
falling.
Death in small doses
is still dying,
and every time I look at you
I see the end of everything,
the beginning no longer there.
I see – Goodbye. . . coming.
I planted a seed
and watched it grow,
but over time it withered,
and passed.
Did I forget to water us,
as I forgot to quench it’s thirst?
Or did I drown you,
in who I thought I was,
but couldn’t be?
Did I, could I . . .
the sky screamed again
arcing to the ground,
and I awoke,
found you lying there
in silent night,
eyes attached to mine . . .
time to water us, I thought –
again.

"Death in small doses

and every time I look at you
I see the end of everything,"

is perfect
and beautiful.

Indeed we should never let escape any opportunity to "water" our relationships, showing how much we care.

Beautiful write and wise too.
