Yesterday five years ago, I kissed Nan on both her cheeks
We had been looking forward to this day for several weeks
I took a plain and then a bus and ended in Nan's arms
A lovely lady, full of wit and even greater charms

Few days I stayed, not in her house, she said it was a mess
The renters didn't clean it out and that gave Nan some stress
Do you still have that dreadfull car, the one that shut me out?
I tried so hard to open it and you were laughing loud

I've kissed so many others too, Elizabeth, Marti, Ruth, Denise
Wonderful memories come to mind, little by little, piece by piece
And I've kissed Marge so many times, that day and later on
Can't believe, seemed yesterday, that five long years have gone

And I kissed Chrissy (now a Mom), Marscha, Maureen, Kethry too
lets not forget our Nan from Texas, David I sure remember you
I've kissed your precious lady, known as Chipmunk on these pages blue
Four year ago she went to Heaven, most beautiful angel that I knew

I hugged and kissed ol' Balladeer, his voice still roams my head
First night he entertained us well, by sagging through his bed
Last but not least I've kissed Fran, Bill, Seymour and his Isabel
Lovely people alltogether, we had fun, that I can tell

Five years ago, in three weeks time, eighteen people I have kissed
Memories are very vivid and you people all are missed
Maybe one day, in the future, when I win the lottery??
But until then you'll have to do, with a cyber hug from me

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Oh sweet girlie girl ... that was the most wonderful time EVER !!!
And I mean it too !!!

LOL ... now who was that man we kissed in the lobby of the hotel in Sanford, ... the one I BRIBED to help us carry out those HEAVY bags !!!

And little Delaney remembers getting a kissy from you too~
(Well, she was really too little, but I keep reminding her)

You need to come back ... please do
... for we've got lots more kisses for you~
We'll go out fishing ... and just walking in the woods ...~

I love you, Titia ... you are welcomed in my household heart ANYTIME !!!

LOL ... My Bill thought you'd left him out ... but he found himself squeezed in there after all~

My love to you ... ALWAYS~

Titia, I remember that week fondly wishing it could happen again. It was a memory in the making, even though as time went on and more  friends joined, I ended up sleeping in Marsha's closet... didn't mind since it was next to a bathroom

for the memories

Oh Titia, I sure wish I could have been there. I would have gotten to see you and everyone else. I could have given you all a great big HUG.

Titia darling one, how could I ever forget getting to meet you and all the others it was a magical time. And this beautiful poem brings it back as clearly as if it were yesterday. Krissy and I didn’t leave England until the 19th September, this year I shall be at University it is Freshers week, what a lot of fun I shall have. Although I really can’t see me bopping with the teens can you? Really it is to get orientated to the University, which since Gray has been there for a year already I doubt if I actually need it, but it does give me a chance to meet my tutor and find out how many others are in class with me.

But back to this delightful poem it is wonderful and I love it muchly, and a cyber hug to you too.

Love and warm stuff
As always

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds

Yessir, there were a lot of Pips
Who felt the touch of Titia's lips.
The drool that came from Dutchie's mouth
Created flood zones in the south.

She kissed the pilots in mid-flight
And passengers, to their delight.
Taxi drivers in their hack
Also  got a Dutchie smack.

She kissed the peddlers on the street
And anyone that she would meet.
Pedestrians, at any hour
Would also feel her pucker power.

She hugged the greeters at Wal-Mart
Receipients of her warm heart.
From Maine to Florida she kissed
Too many folks for me to list.

In Florida she kissed us all.
Our Mushy was the first to fall,
Then Kethry got one on the cheek
And she made poor Sy's knees go weak!

She bearhugged Margie with a smack
And I will swear I heard bones crack!
Dear Chipmunk got a special one.
Our Dutchie's lips were having fun.

Maureen? She got a hug as well
As, one by one, the poets fell.
Kissed all, as far as I can tell
And even smacked that Isabel!!

We posted sentries through the night
To keep an eye on Dutchie's light.
If it came on, we scattered quick
To grab our big tubes of Chap-Stick!

Of all the kisses I recall
One stands out as the best of all,
Better than all those listed here.
That's when the Dutchie kissed the 'Deer!

"Come back, dear Dutchie!" we implore.
Our lips are healed, no longer sore.
You'll always be a special friend.
Come back and kiss us once again!

Titia I love this. Wish I had been there five years ago. But I saw some of the photos that are on  a web site, just by typing in Marge Tinsdale. SO I know you all had a ball.

Deer you are something else..."late"

Well, who would've known that shortly after I wrote this poem, my wish to return to the States is going to happen.
Next year September I'll be back. I'll have a whole year of fun, planning this trip.

And Deer, thank you so much for your lovely poetic reply. I'm saving a few special Dutch knuffels for you my friend.

Titia,
I had to come back and read all of these poems and responses. I'd love to do September in Florida too. I don't know if it's doable but I'm going to work on it.

Hé Keth, that would be wonderful if you could come too. On my end it depends whether my hip will let me. The new hip is doing fine, but the old one is protesting.
Oh well, even if I have to crawl, I'll be coming over. LOL
