           “Because of You”

Because of you I live again,
    awakened from my sleep;
        to feel the warming glow within,
            from embers hidden deep.

Because of you my soul is free
    to soar new heights above;
        to wish for things that long to be,
            to hope… to dream… to love.

Because of you my spirit breathes,
    inhales the scent so sweet;
        of blooming love that grows with ease
            each time we chance to meet.

Because of you my heart draws nigh,
    embracing love so true;
        and holds a gift from God on high,
            a blessing that is you.
