my God my God
where am I?
I know where You are Lord, but
where am I

in this back and forth world
hurrying to destinations over paths
which if traversed step by step in sandals
worn and dusty
would be second thoughted
out of existence

where am I
when busy keeps my mind
off Grace and Mercy
and a Sacrifice whose
Love is beyond comprehension

where am I when
this unpalatable cup of grief
served without my asking
is pushed just out of reach
purposefully forming a film
age thickening as if protected
from a single thought’s
piercing

this race is for running
and for finishing
quitting is not an option given
nor is sideline sitting
for the careful
half full is considered next to empty
but for me empty only means
many more miles to go

run
walk
crawl
does it matter
in what order we finish
loved ones and strangers as well
finish their appointed race each minute
of every day

my God my God
my protection is pierced
tears choke in my throat
the pain runs faster
than I
waiting for me at every turn
and though my feet would
stop
to stay grief’s grip
my hope is  in
the other side of the finish

In all the time that I have known you,
I have found that your hope never waivers
and is truly an inspiration to us all.

It is so good to read your words again and see your shine here on these blue pages.

See, even my daughter and I
agree

that you've not let loose
of elusive hope.

And that, m'dear
is because

you really realize just how
strong you are,
which constantly surprises
even you.

thank you all so much...between busy and life, my muse got the best of me and took my pen...*shrug* though I think I'd be better off if I let her have it a little more often...
sunshine and gentle spirit...I only hope that my hope and faith are as strong as you both read them to be *s*

This hurts to read, dear lady... hurts to know... but is written so magnificently!! And aren't our muses funny creatures? *S* They hide when we'd like to make use of them... then steal our pens to have their way. *S*

Yours did a great job... *S*

You have a powerful beginning in this one--it captured me right away and pulled me in.  Excellent ending as well.  This one is going to stay with me for a while.

Luminous One, you've been missed!

"where am I

~ You are not alone in that place! A very moving piece of soul spilling.

May your life flow with grace and ease.

Love & God's Light,

EA
