I wrote this poem in 2004, while my husband, who is in the USAF, was deployed to Afghanistan for six months.

Alone

Here I sit, all alone,
No one else in this room,
Just me,
Just one.

Yet I feel you here, here with me,
You're just across the way,
Just outside the door,
But then,
Once again,

Here I sit, all alone,
No one esle in the room,
Just me,
Just one.

Then there you are,
On the pillow in the bed,
Or standing right in front of me,
But then,
Once again,

Here I sit, all alone,
No one else in the room,
Just me,
Just one.
Here, alone.

Beautiful poem.  This really shows the sadness and loneliness you felt at the time.  Hopefully  things are better now for you.

Thanks for sharing...
