       "Friendship a Simple Spell"

    Friendship seems a simple spell
      though seldom understood.
Those who think they know it well
      most likely never could.

Friends, they learn to share such things
      that others cannot see
    sadness; pain; hopes and dreams...
      a heartfelt memory.

When a friendship starts to grow
      till two like one will be;
then and only then you'll know
      its true simplicity.

It's not a very complex art
to be studed and much read.
Its a guidance from your heart
      and not your mind instead.

I liked this poem. Did a nice job in structure, and in meaning. I truly believe that the dictionary should revise it's defenition of friends. Well done Ken

Often times,
A lifelong partnership, untainted by the strings that entwine other relationships...
You have lifted my heart with this simple poem.  So very beautiful.

How lovely~this should be on a Hallmark friendship card.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

Love this moonshadow.  To have a friend...is to be a friend in every sense of the word.

You make me think
things
that I haven't thought of
in a long while.

Kudos, poet.

Thank you dear friends for the glow of your enjoyment radiates back and warms my soul ever so nicely. Such a simple spell entrances and captivates even the most complex of souls and curls them around one another.

You took my breath away with the beautiful simplicity of your poem.  It's amazing how you tapped into what friendship means - and you expressed in a manner that made me warm inside.

Friendships come and go
the heart can come undone
but a friendship of the mind
is a peace left undefined

I enjoyed the poem but in ways I disagree with the idealism in it.
