My Ark

Tender embers burn within
Sending churns of primal din
Who’ll touch a spark within the dark?
Who’ll save the lives within this ark?

Blowing tinder, relight again
The dying green within the glen
Smoke hovers in dusty gray
Blocking out our futures play

Misdirecting echoes call
Playing shadows ghostly maul
Teardrops like an impulse wave
Blight the fires of the grave

Black the rims each circles brim
Smothering the slim to grim
One by one each tear and doubt
Washing most the embers out

Falling the abyss of night
Imploding super novas bright

Sir T - I always read your poetry twice so that I can savor every drop. This is mellow and deep like a really fine, full, smoky Merlot. It is wonderful to see your other side - however, I know you are not but two sides, you have many dimensions

Hugs~~
Caroline
