Wind In Trees

The wind is moving in the trees,
Whispering soft litanies
And overhead, the stars appear,
Like diamonds, bright and very near.
The looming hills all seem to lean,
As if some message they might glean,
In listening to the sounds below,
Where tree limbs rustle, to and fro.
Where shadows play across the ground
And gray owls add their eerie sound
And over all, there seems to be,
A feeling of great mystery!

I could almost see those trees with a branch to their "ear." Something mysterious is definitely lurking in this scene.  Loved this.

Peaceful picture.  Not like the scene we have tonihgt.  Our trees are almost bending to the ground from the wind and in fact i lost a big branch onto my sunroom.  I don't know if there is any damage yet.  Love, Joyce

Mysteria:

Thanks! I doubt I'm the only one who finds
some trees mysterious and secretive! I imagine you do too!

Dear Joyce:

I'm sorry to hear you have heavy winds there tonight. The wind has done a lot of damage around here this fall. A large tree came down across my son's boat and really disabled it. I have a couple of cracked windows from debris hitting them, which i am having replaced next week.  Hoping we don't get a winter like the last two!

Thanks for your card for Ron and the poetry book. Your poem in it is beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving!

Love

Lovely imagery and rhyme.

Dear Betty Lou,
When I sit by Lake Huron and write, I feel like the lake whispers a message, too.
This is another lovely poem.
