im resting here on the window pane,
looking through the glass.
i cant seem to get a grip,
i feel like im just falling down too fast.

and the whiskey doesnt drown the pain,
it just adds to my drunken rage.
and adds to the inspiration,
that seems to be filling up the page.

and looking out through this window,
i dont see the other side.
i only see the past played out before me,
its like a sin that i cant hide.

so ill just sit up all night,
writing away my soul.
because its the only thing that i can do,
that makes me feel whole.
