Sin No More

Go, daughter, sin no more
The look of forgiveness
One he would show
Countless times in life and death

A pang of slight sorrow
As he knows what’s to come
The sins to be repeated
And unfortunate new ones made

Through a glimpse of his eyes
I see myself and sigh
Imperfect and unworthy
But loved beyond compare

And suddenly looking at sister
Small and dear, smile upon her face
I see her through his eyes
And I sigh anon

Brilliant and glowing
Wonderful and cherished
My sister Millie
A soul of infinite worth and prize

Gone are the thoughts
Though they quickly return
Of her loudness and noisy self eminence
And I can send her off

And I (try to) sin no more

"I thought I'd just mention in passing . . . I always wanted a Sparkly of my very own." -Jeremy The Crow
