Providing guidance and support to those brave enough to quest
Defending the memory of those who’ve long gone to their rest
Listening to whispering winds and generously sharing
Sheltering the warmth of ancient fires with a cloak of caring
Gathering Rainbow Warriors with a chant of vibrant timbre
Touching hearts with history, a reminder to remember
Guarding, keeping, and defending with a pride that won’t be shamed
Person of beauty and so much strength – PROTECTOR is your name.

Oh dear Ruth, this is a wonderful, personal tribute to Marge, aka Willow White Feather.
She really is special, as are you.

One of the things Passions is best known for...providing germs of thought to potential poems...

well done, Ruth.

Kacy, Karilea and Bill: Thank you so much for your kind responses. *S*

I had the privilege of meeting Traci Rabbit several years ago and purchased the Protector print. When I decided it needed to live with Marge, I enclosed this poem... then posted it as a response on her poem Protector Spirit.

I'm aware my words are lacking poetically. *S* But Marge read the love... I thank you for doing so, too. *S*

Ruth, you are so wrong - your words are NOT lacking poetically!  Or perhaps I just have very bad taste (smiles), but I found this very beautiful.  Also written by one beautiful person for another equally beautiful - both of you, inside and out.

Dear Ruth, you did our beautiful Willow White Feather justice with your wonderful tribute.
When I think of her in love and friendship, I see her always smiling. It comforts me, but she is badly missed.

Love,
Margherita

Boshii2: Your kind response just made my day... thank you so much! *S*

Richy: Thank you, my friend... and thank you for the smiles you've left on these blue pages... they're appreciated! *S*

Martie & Margherita: Thank you both very much! It was written back in the days when I thought we had forever... now my pen's as dry as my eyes are full. *S*
