Bones and I
are in the Middle School
play.

He’s a butcher,
and I’m a baker.

We have our faces covered
with theatrical make-up.

Riding home on the subway train,
we gather quite a lot of fans.

They stare at us,
and want to sit beside us.

It’s surprising how
a little face paint
can make the ugliness of us
appear attractive.

Bobby

The snow seems like Nature's "face paint" for the
various and asundry habiliments of humanity ...

Thanks Secondhanddreampoet,

I'm happy you liked the poem.

Your response puts me in mind of the great snow of 96 I think it was.  It buried our beautiful rowhouse neighborhood in 36 inches of snow.

A lovely kind of booster for your self-confidence.

Those plays in schoolyears remain unforgettable.

Thanks dear Margherita,

Yes it was a good booster.  The riders on the subway were more than kind to us.

School plays were a load of fun.

Love Bobby

Bobby - another great write about Bones, with you included. I'm assuming the play went well...

Bobby you and Bones aren't taking a shot at some woman you know are you?

Bones needed the attention to realize that he too is part of the world's plays.

Thanks Eric,

No, Bones and I are not taking any shots at any ladies.  We don't do that kind of work.

Bones always knew of his role on the worlds stage.  He was very much aware of it, and told us all about it.

Thanks dear RDB,

Yes, our salient and adorably touching features became apparent to the public at even this very early age.  People just couldn't keep their eyes, and hands off us.

Thanks for your support along the way.

Love Bobby

I remember being in a play.

"Annie."

I got the be roosevelt. Me and my best friend would take turns being pushed down a really long downward slanted hallway as fast as we could in the wheelchair.
