          Lost Passages

beneath a hard-winter moon,
in the long abandoned house
  of broken roof,
an old frost-covered book and
  candle...
nothing more

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

This is a nice poem.

It wouldn't surprise me at all that that is what you'd find there.

This puts me in mind of an old abandoned place in West Virginia that I used to pop in on unannounced.

I see this little broken down cabin.  Maybe there are a few old photographs scattered around in dusty drawers.  Once I found an old broken, weathered gold rocker in an abandoned cabin by a creek.

I wonder what is left behind in all those foreclosed homes besides lost memories~~
