I wrote this poem in a hurry, but the sentiment is still there, I gave it to my Mom yesterday. *MY MOTHER* You may tell me that the stars above do shine radiantly, you may say that the field of roses in the garden do take thy breath away, you may reveal to me a wonder of the world like no other, you may read to me in accented tongue, a love sonnet by Shakespeare, such glory to thine own ears, you may show me all the beauties of life, but none do compare to thy beauty of my Mother. Melissa - This is wonderful.. I bet your mom loves it.. The beauty of free verse, is that there aren't any rules to break... So it usually works for you... ... This is very very nice indeed... [This message has been edited by Nan (edited 04-16-2000).] |

Melissa~ These thoughts would warm the heart of any mother ... they do this one. I'm so pleased that you shared them here. I know your mother found them precious. Mom's are like that ... yeah, we are. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
