In a state of disrepair...

It often said and truly so
that hearts are worn upon the sleeve
cufflinks hoary from collected dust
we slam in doors by accident
and in other places allow damage
with deliberation and consent
Hell, we sometimes even beg!

I often think that perhaps instead
I might just try some metal links
To fasten these sleeves shut
But then on considering such
I always seem to end back at
"Hell, where's the fun in that!"

Well, maybe that's just me.

"The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun
With Coca Cola clouds behind a Big Mac sun."

I like wearing my heart on my sleeve...it gets banged and bruised from time to time, but the good stuff more than makes up for the bad.
