My stomach clenches with worry Words flash through my mind Some bring smiles, some tears I wonder when you began to look so frail Last night? Last night when your face collapsed And we cried? I want to make it all better I want a magic wand I want to make time go backward I want you. Tears burn behind my eyes All I think of is you and I pray In my own weird way I reach out to a Higher Power and pray Wanna make a deal? I ask. If you bring her home, I’ll be good I’ll say only nice things I’ll smile and hug her more I’ll take care of her I’ll love her more I’ll be good.. Let’s make a deal. --- |
