damn
   you did
you broke my heart
a sandollar for fifty cents
buried half into the truth

lies

are carried by the tide
   dancing on the caps
of knees
riding joyous on the waves

and I don't know the dollar words
but I could look them up for you
and that would be
just half the truth
as I tried to paste them

free

flapping in the wind of us
   gripping to my need
      as these:
left the hollows of my thighs
into the sandforms of the tides
   where I usedta be
       to bleed
right into the ocean deep

begging for the night to cease
with ripplerays
    on low moan waves
like cattle hungry for the dawn
   desperate
      for the bidet
and quarrelings the melt of sea
green with envy
    mean to me
and aqua
singing

           quarternote!

up the scale
  to antidote
of a respite of the hell:
noisy in my g'damned head

begging for the night to cease -

press

the thorns upon my head
and say I did not know the weave -

of the three
as petals drop
  placing my misfortune's greed
into the belly of the lost--

say I did not know the cost
and have a little faith in me...

just a little?
faith...in...me.

Damn the tides
and pentacost
as angels harmonize the spree
of the sound of faeries
dashing dancing wood...and please:

Tell me that I am not lost
but rumour I have found my way;
and tell them all I am the cost
of everything we tossed away
drifting in the tumblewood
down a green canal to die
where dragonflies
are buzzing bide
of this ear buzz and the free
shaking of a snake and all
that I
promised I would be
was I ever nuthin' nice
as I
I couldn't nevah
be
  evah
nuthin' be'
    Froggy fat
  indignity
winking grossly atcha now.

Maybe I was just afraid
of everything that coulda been.
Maybe I was terrified
of all the things I woulda been
if I'd had a chance to....wow.

maybe, maybe, maybe, I,

MAYBE

I was

just afraid

and maybe I am scared

and now--I just found the words to die

fancy faeries fontanette:

"Park Place, if you please."

oh my...

I hate when I do this to people.

I'm sorry.

I really didn't like it, and I just finished it. I'm not even sure if I like it now, but ow...do you like it better this way?

(See? I think it's so much more meaningful this way. )

I really felt removed from it emotionally from it before.

I hope you like this more, truly.

Your words, like splashes of healing water, touch me in the center, where feelings towered and could not transform into flowing motion ... you just opened the locks!

Happy New Year, Poetess!
Love and hugs.

an explorer of sometimes painfully forsaken moments...you have the ability to lament in an extaordinary way....skillfully unveiling secrets and the pain of self containment...which needs to fiercly escape those rattles on the window.

Soemtimes I think that this life is exactly how it is supposed to be for you, Karen.  I don't think this one is for you but rather for others to watch and learn from...

I know I have.  You are a teacher.

I love ya so much.
