Listening to every heart

Snow Quiet

Before my eyes last evening closed, the rain was tapping upon the sill
In the morn when I arose, quiet snow had made everything still

Beneath the dawn of this long year’s last few moments of light
Crystal snowflakes were born, coming to grace this land with delight

For soon the winds will die away, the children will come out to play,
Holding warm to some icy magic, on this, the eve of New Year’s Day.

Happy New Year, Everyone!

pretty to look at but I'm so glad I'm not in Kansas anymore!

beautiful poem for a beautiful scene (though I smile when I look out my window and see green grass)

Happy New Year to you and yours!
