Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

You offer me the words you think I should hear
It’s that Mom-thing that you do so well
And I watch and wait for a clue
No longer simply your daughter

I am your watch dog
Seeking reality

Sometimes lost in my fear
Of a life without you in it

Words wash over me
Bolstering my faltering smile

And tomorrow we will face this all again

Together.
Always together.

---

I love you, Mom.
Alison

Alison, this is lovely and would bring tears to any mothers eyes.  Nicely penned my friend, good to see you writing again. Hugs and happy new year.
