Here, there should be no thing writ
bits of dust and variance
squalling with
against
the wind
as specks
pick up the lights
and glim
"ghost"
against the lenses
cringe
as the ashes sing
the singe

of the stiff compliances...

(so I made allowances?)

Poets are allowed at death
one more singularity
another
peculiarity
episodic drama creed:
we'd not be poets,
done without
the need we have
to shout it out --

Stomp the foot
and whine it loud
testimony to d'Lawd:

as if I could
as if I would
dance the death I can't afford

(sing it low and treble proud)
gutteral obeyances
make the babies shiver shrouds
in the wombs of careful kept
and mercury
are tears not wept
silver linings ringing clouds
red, with our emotions raged
for every war we never waged
and all the ones we won.

"A son!" she said, "A son is born!"
She raised him to the sky --
"Triumph!"
A hot rock sliced umbilical
cord that bound numerical
bounty of divinity--
(if you knew eternity...)

the circle had been sworn
again
rupture rapture delicate
ragged as the very thorn
crowned upon his innocence
and nurtured in his name of Names,
cleansed by the mandorla, torn--

by the variance of this--
my child? Or sacrament of bliss?
subjected to the burn of kiss
betrayed in the most Holy name

of human sacrifice?

I kissed his head and suckled him,
knowing I knew God.

serenity,
Well, I guess in a way we are all your confessors.

sy?

I should ask this more privately, but do Jews have confessors?

I ask in earnest.

I would like to get better before I die.

(Now THAT should be grounds for conversion--right there.)

One small step...

BTW, we all confess in one way or another...

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Sigi Serenity Blaze, though I understand your meaning I see much more in your words. The gift of life it matters not to whom is a precious thing, are we not all children together of the One Uneque(Creator)?Perhaps your wisdom will bring a healing to a heart that is seeking!
