What are we
without our hearts
Within our thoughts
Of confusion and pain
Running for cover from the rain
Riding this Roller Coaster disguised as a life
Waking each day wondering where I’m going
Is this life for real or just some showing
I shave my face clean looking for an outlet
A place to dump this baggage and start fresh
Replacing conditional love with unconditional
Destroying the notion that  there is no room for forgiveness
No reason to look past the discrepancies  of a shadowed  past
And recover the meaning of family, the meaning of life
And the meaning of love. Wanting more than I have and knowing
I will have it soon, Be it with or without you .  The New Year brings renewed hope
Renewed focus and the need for me to begin life with a new outlook and goal.
Happy New Year  Fellow poets  may the prosperity of time treat us all with the respect we deserve.

I know it's not cool--my kids keep calling me an "emo"--that's short for emotional wreck apparently--but ... shrug

"Everybody Hurts"

It fits us, I think...

and shush...

you sent me some sloch if I recall.

"days and nights are long and you think you've had too much in this life, to hang on...

well, everybody hurts, sometimes

everybody cries

everybody hurts

some times...

It just feels like all the time.

y'got the number.
