What is Her Value?

A womans work is never done she is up before the sun, washing and
cleansing self with sage and Cedar preparing for the morning prayers.
The Eastern skyline she is watching waiting for that golden
blessing,Father Sky seems to seperate from midnight blue fading into
pearly grey and light purple.
Mother Earth it seems is waiting for the warmth of grandmothers
first kiss of blessing, the night sounds have gone silent respectfully
awaiting her arrival.
First golden strands appear the womans heart beats to the sounds of
Mother Earths own drums, then an explosion of life her voice lifts to
join the celebration life continues.
Wood gathered by the children added to the sleeping embers, slow
smoke rises in the air soon the smells of the morning meal will draw
them to the fire.
Cooking,cleaning,bearing children,work the fields and gather,maybe
today we will go fishing much is needed for the families.
Check with the Elders see to their comfort, bring them food and
fresh water, see to the sick and ailing, tend those with injuries and
watch out for the children.
Make sure that everyone is busy, see that to teach a task is given
that they may learn Creators lessons, tend the babies and the fires.
Take time for speaking with your sisters, check the clothes that may
need mending, settle down for some beading,or weaving, baskets are needed
for the coming winter.
Grass mats made and bowls are moulded into the oven for
firing, somehow many are broken, long moccasins and winter wraps are
needed how do the children grow so fast?
Skins are streched and dried scraped and softened preparing them to
make warm clothing, look grandmother is smiling as she makes the beads
for a wedding outfit.
Children run laughing playing practising the ball game dreaming of
the day they too will play, perhaps be the hero who wins honor for his
villiage.
Meat is stripped and placed on racks smoked and dried for winter
use, soon we will make pemican and dry fruits set the little girls to
stringing teaching them to take your place.
Simple days and simple ways, hard work and loving, caring for your
friends and families,a womans work is never done this is the way to be
happy, and to you is shown respect and honor.
Without you there is no life you are sister to Mother Earth,to the
men you have great value they listen close to your words in the
counsils,fields,and houses.
When this no longer happens all will fall into chaos there will no
longer be love and caring,no more peace or gentle voices,no more
prayers or happiness, and Mother Earth will tremble.
Remember Creator made you as his partner,it is your duty to make
men show you honor and respect,if you fail then all is lost, all things
follow the Circle each has a place and duty.
As you offer up the prayers ask for wisdom and guidence, believe in
yourself and your place within the Circle, teach all who come near you
to also value your oppinion.
When our hearts are broken by abuse and depression, when we no
longer care, the Circle will be broken and the generations lost to their
heritage and ways.
And so the grandmothers say to the men of every Nation, when there
is a day you no longer place high value on your women, you will not
listen or honor, then you have lost Turtle Island forever!

When grandmother set a task she would tell us look at the
world around you, think are the words of the old ones true?Do you see
peace, love, and giving,or do you see greed, hate, and hurting? And so who
and what do you value?

Siyo oginali sigi for your kindness, this is a very old lesson story for both the women to recognize their own value and not allow themselves to be mistreat, and for men to remember what respect and honor to show the women in their lives, and finally for the People to know what would happen to the Balance were these things forgotten. To look at today world,I ask do you think their lesson was true?

I would think that even
the men of PiP would agree...

for even as they have a duty
so do the women, and the topsy
turvy world created needs to
come right, with equality...

that your ways have ever shown
to all.

Thank you, Poet.

Siyo beloved sister/friend in truth this is to honor both women and men,it is a teaching for both to be strong enough to stand alone, strong enough to each honor the place and duties of the other, and be strong enough to come together as one showing faith, trust, and respect one for the other,to make the Circle complete as it should be and so honor both Mother Earth, and Creator!

Another lovely and ‘important’  write!:

Grand images:

“The Eastern skyline she is watching waiting for that golden
blessing, Father Sky seems to separate from midnight blue fading into
pearly grey and light purple.”

“…..the woman’s heart beats to the sounds of
Mother Earths own drums……”

and great ‘truths’!:

“it is your duty to make men show you honor and respect,
if you fail then all is lost”

“When our hearts are broken by abuse and depression, when we no
longer care, the Circle will be broken and the generations lost to their
heritage and ways.”

“when there is a day you no longer place high value on your women,
you will not listen or honor, then you have lost Turtle Island forever!”

Much applause from this ever-most-humble ‘weaver of dreams’!

Sigi Martie these are to be share freely for those seeking a heritage denied them through no fault of their own. They are gift of the old ones to the grandchildren they could save only one way,to deny who and what they were.A sad time in the way of the world, and one so few know the truth of,but the spirits seek those children, and so here is their call!
