Treading

I tread a path that billions tread
Some alive but most are dead
Lit by lanterns fueled by why
Washed by tears of time and cry

To this I add one flicker more
To light the way of shadows door
A candlelight that bears my sigh
This trifling flick of modest try

I serve it to eternity
On platters of fraternity
Burn the tallow as all the rest
And try my very, very best

I as others would pierce the night
And read the white as more than light
Tread the rainbow past its bend
And find this treasure at its end

It’s than I’d draw a map for thee
A path to go and set you free

I particularly liked:

"I tread a path that billions tread
Some alive but most are dead
Lit by lanterns fueled by why
Washed by tears of time and cry"

Fine 'write' !

So many wander through life with eyes so dead they do not see. You my love have lived, not squandered your time on earth. You have used all of your senses and proved it so. You deserve many more days with your loved ones. We at PIP are among those who who pray you have them. love to you Sy , martyjo

You have, once again, trodden, though lightly, through our hearts, Sy

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
