.

As time goes on
One finds the past
Changing in perception

That struggle you thought
Was so worthwhile
The love you couldn’t live without
Lessen often by some degree

Yet Christmas Eve
In the silent night
Is still the focus of faith and hope
As if a form of prayer

The snowflakes fall
Through a streetlamp’s glow
That tints the air
With a shade of blue

Above it all
A single star
