The Year Long Dip took Hold

Melancholia will hold her own song;
deep, low, treacherous, yet
endearing in some hidden warmth, she glides
’cross the skies and moon, something like

Dracula, draining moonsong’s twilight
of anything left to live for.

I know; for he heard her heart scream…

~*~

Yet, then, Winter’s solstice became one again
with me ~ when renewal is slow to start but oh,
enjoy! just before the birth, just before
the greeting, just before
before!

And the sun returns, to lift, guide, spring, tide,
equal, equate, matter, hold forth for
more than nine months.  To shine.

To be.

Winter months will transpire, yet; snows shall fall; wind beget
something too strong for mankind to bear…but!
some witch sayd, tis your day! times ago,
and yes, I say!

and it is, and it is, solstice of ice to bear, the gleaming
shall become its stare and icy breath become
its wear…solstice, solstice…

your morning
is mine.

Come to my breast, I shall
augment your life
unto spring.

But bring Starbucks, if you need more.

Karilea,

Okay that closing line got me. And my Nancy could so relate to all of this, yup even the closing.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Sunshine...  I recognize Meloncholia.. that influential lady who I know so well. You describe her so perfectly... and I await, patiently, the clensing rejuvination of winter, while quietly sipping my Starbucks Khave Mocca.

Thank you for the Write, Milady.
