Vacation Frustration

Ole Santa’s poor reindeer sure needed a rest
So he picked a place that he thought was the best
The Bahamas he thought would be a great spot
It was out of the cold and yet wasn’t too hot

You should’ve seen everyone stopping to stare
When Vixen and Blitzen went snorkeling there
Dasher did also along with ole Cupid
In flippers and masks they really looked stupid

They all were quite sure when their ol' buddy Donner
Went up on a parasail he was a goner
At a club late that night, Comet and Prancer
Soon learned how one deer had become known as Dancer

And all of the reindeer there had quite a blast
Their week long vacation went by much too fast
After all of the time they’d spent in the sun
Ole Santa at last said “Boys, we’ve got to run”

Now everyone knows that Rudolph leads the way
Dear ole Santa can’t leave unless he guides the sleigh
So Santa looked everywhere hoping to see
Just where his lead reindeer might happen to be

And it was right then Santa knew that he had
A big problem there that was terribly bad
For after a week in the sun all exposed
Each one of the reindeer he had were red nosed

Now Rudolph was needed to end this big mess
When Santa called him no one there would confess
So Santa you see had a really bad deal
He had to stay there ‘til their noses would peel

The reindeer stayed there for another fun week
Ole Santa was so mad that he’d hardly speak
And it is because of his utter frustration
He’ll never again let his deer have vacation

This is too cute my friend...mid-year, next year, submit it to a couple magazines...this is the kind of stuff they seek, cute, seasonal and with a different slant.
