asleep for years upon her soul
she answers to a voice she does not know
a voice of comfort and of pain
that travels the distance to her mind.

she asks simply what have I become
the mother, wife the forgotten one,
all too many want her time
all to many ignore her cries.

to be held once more in comfort,
to be carressed, kissed and held,
not expected to care for everyone
but herself to once more love.

That is what mothers do...
enjoyed this quiet piece, Michael.

Thank you.
