And The Wind Whispered, 'Mary'
~*Marge Tindal*~

On an evening, so long ago, Wind came
calling out 'Mary' - knew her by name
Blew across the barren plains
in a land so very far away

Found 'Mary' sheltered safe inside
a stable in the countryside
Saw Joseph standing by his bride
in wait of a miracle yet to be born

Gently, Wind buffeted about in awe
at the vision of the star he saw
Rising in the sky without flaw
Shining brightly in celestial adorn

From within the stable bare
came a mewing breath of air
that the Child of God would wear
to teach the world to sing in mirth

Suddenly Wind began to proclaim
'Mary'-'Mary' blessed is thy name
Blew in gusts, then he came
to spread the news of Jesus' birth

Wind summoned angels in to see
as the Babe lay ever-angelically
Cradled ever so gently
in the lap of 'Mary'

'Mary' smiled at Wind and said
This Babe now sleeps in manger bed
You've warmly blown upon His head
Wind wept tears in gentle shed
at the compassionate glory of 'Mary'

So if upon this eve so bright
you should hear Wind tonight
Listen closely, you will hear clearly
'Mary' - 'Mary' praised in song on Wind so dearly

*This woman so *gifted* us in the birthing of Our Lord Jesus*

~Unto each season ... there is a reason to celebrate~
*Let the gentle winds of Christmas blow your way once more*

Lovely.. You have a wonderful time with those precious ones.  So they too will hear the wind blowing softly.. The time and love you give to them will always be remembered and they will hear "Poet,  poet"  whispering softly for many long years ahead.

Marge, this is just gorgeous.  I am covered in goose bumps thinking of this breath that speaks life and of your brother in Florida and those who are experiencing the devastation of hurricanes.   We can and must listen for that gentle beam of living love!

Your poem is exquisite, and I want to add, you are a beautiful lady.  I love the likeness from your profile.
